Prosciutto And Peas

Total Time: 10 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 ounce thinly sliced prosciutto
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 10 ounces frozen peas
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoon chicken bouillon granule
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 dash black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons pine nuts or 2 tablespoons chopped pecans

Recipe

  • 1 cut prosciutto into thin strips.
  • 2 in a medium saucepan cook onion in hot oil until tender.
  • 3 stir in peas, water, bouillon and dried oregano. season to taste with black pepper.
  • 4 simmer, covered, for 4-5 minutes or until peas are just tender.
  • 5 stir in pine nuts.
