- 5 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cups uncle ben's wholegrain brown rice
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce (low sodium)
- 1 (900 ml) box campbell's chicken broth, 25% less sodium
- 1 cup toasted slivered almonds
Recipe
- 1 cook onions in heated oil in heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat for 1 minute, stirring often.
- 2 add rice, soy sauce and broth. heat to a boil. reduce heat to low. cover.
- 3 simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 minutes. remove from heat; stir in almonds.
