Tuna Mornay

Ingredients

- 410 g tuna, drained and flaked
- 1 1/2 cups cooked rice
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 cups milk
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon celery salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons chicken seasoning
- 2 teaspoons chopped chives (dried)
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1/2 cup celery (thinly sliced)
- 1 cup cheese (grated)
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 180°
- 2 mix together tuna, rice and celery and place in a casserole dish. mix together the garlic, celery salt, chicken seasoning, chives and curry power - set aside.
- 3 melt butter in a heavy saucepan. add flour and cook briefly, stirring. gradually add the milk while still stirring -- until mixture thickens. add the spice mixture and stir through. pour the sauce over the tuna mixture and stir it through.
- 4 sprinkle cheese then paprika on top.
- 5 bake until golden - about 30 minutes.
