Ingredients

- 3/4 cup butter or 3/4 cup margarine
- 1 small onion, thinly diced
- 2 cups celery, sliced thinly
- 2 loaves bread
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth
- 2 teaspoons thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 tablespoons sage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Recipe
- 1 slowly melt butter in a sauce pan and add the onion and celery.cook on medium heat for about 10 minutes or until they turn soft not brown.
- 2 meanwhile as that cooks -- cube your loaves of bread into 1/2 inch pieces and throw into a big bowl.
- 3 when celery and onions are done,pour mixture into the bread cubes.mix all together.
- 4 start adding 1 cup of chicken broth,mix well.
- 5 next add all your seasonings,mix and then add remaining chicken broth.
- 6 mix all together and pour it into a greased casserole dish. bake in the oven at 375 celcius for about 30-40 minutes.
