Ingredients
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1 medium onion
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 5/8 cup grape juice
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 14 ounces boneless lamb or 14 ounces boneless chicken
Recipe
- 1 peel the garlic cloves & cruch them.
- 2 grate the onion and place with the garlic & oregano in a mixing bowl.
- 3 add the the olive oil,grape juice and salt & pepper & mix thouroughly this is the marinade.
- 4 cut the meat into 3/4 inch cubes and add to the marinade,making sure all the meat is coated.
- 5 leave in fridge overnight,or at least 3 hours.
- 6 thread the meat cubes onto skewers(at least 4 will be needed).
- 7 heat broiler or barbecue & cook the skewers of meat for 10-15 minuites.
- 8 turn the meat occasionally & brush with some of the spare marinade.
- 9 check the meat is cooked though by removing one cube from a skewer & cutting it in 2. when ready server with salad & a dollop of greek yogurt.
