Spinach Artichoke Dip

Total Time: 1 hr Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tablespoons onions, minced
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2/3 cup pecorino romano cheese
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 (10 ounce) boxes frozen spinach, cooked & drained
  • 12 ounces artichoke hearts
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 saute garlic and onion in butter until golden.
  • 2 add flour and cook for 1 minute.
  • 3 whisk in heave cream and broth; bring to a boil.
  • 4 once boiling, add romano, lemon juice, hot sauce and salt. stir until cheese melts. let cool for 5 minutes.
  • 5 stir in sour cream, spinach, and artichokes.
  • 6 put into microwavable dish(es) and sprinkle with cheddar.
  • 7 microwave 50% power until cheese melts or freeze for later.
