Tandoori Chicken

Total Time: 1 hr 5 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 lbs chicken, cut into 6 to 8 pieces
  • 8 ounces plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • 2 tablespoons grated ginger (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 make a paste of the yogurt, chili powder, paprika and garlic, and ginger.
  • 2 brush the paste generously over both sides of the chicken.
  • 3 let marinate at least 12 hours.
  • 4 season lightly with a bit of salt.
  • 5 line a pan with foil and bake chicken at 400f for 50 minutes to an hour, or until it is a rich, golden-brown color (you may have to pour off the juices halfway through).
