Ultimate Enchilada Sauce

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon minced onion
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 3 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons dried cilantro
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 cups plain ragu tomato sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 2 pinches sugar

Recipe

  • 1 heat the butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. add the garlic and saute for 1 to 2 minutes. add the onion, oregano, chili powder, basil, ground black pepper, garlic salt, cumin, parsley, cilantro, sugar, salsa and tomato sauce.
  • 2 mix together and then stir in the chicken stock. bring to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.
