The Best Fancy Florentine Sausage Stuffing (or Dressing)

Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 1 lb italian sausage
- 1 onion
- 1/2 cup celery
- 1/2 cup carrot
- 1 (16 ounce) can chicken broth
- 1 (8 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach
- 2 (8 ounce) packages bread stuffing mix
Recipe
- 1 melt butter.
- 2 you can use hot italian sausage (we like it spicy) or the sweet italian sausage. cut in small pieces and brown in butter with garlic.
- 3 chop veggies very fine and add to pan.
- 4 saute about 8 minutes.
- 5 add everything to a 9 x 11 baking dish.
- 6 drizzle the top with turkey drippings or add chicken broth and 3/4 c water.
- 7 you may add pepper to taste but don't add salt unless you taste and taste again. the broth and sausage should provide all the saltiness you need.
- 8 bake at 325 for one hour.
- 9 if the top seems to be browning too much, put a piece of foil loosely over the top.
