Turkey Chow Mein

Ingredients

- 1 cup coarsely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 1 cup diagonally sliced celery
- 1 -2 clove garlic, minced
- 2 cups diced cooked turkey
- 1 (14 ounce) can chinese vegetables, drained
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 -2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
Recipe
- 1 in a large skillet, cook onion in oil over medium heat about 5 minutes.
- 2 add celery and garlic and cook 5 minutes more.
- 3 add turkey, mixed vegetables, broth and peas; cover and cook 5 minutes.
- 4 mix remaining ingredients together and add to skillet.
- 5 turn heat up to medium high.
- 6 cook, stirring constantly 2 to 3 minutes until sauce is boiling and thickened.
- 7 serve over chow mein noodles with rice and additional soy sauce if desired.
