Turkey Chow Mein

Total Time: 23 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 18 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil or 1 tablespoon peanut oil
  • 1 cup diagonally sliced celery
  • 1 -2 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 cups diced cooked turkey
  • 1 (14 ounce) can chinese vegetables, drained
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
  • 1 -2 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Recipe

  • 1 in a large skillet, cook onion in oil over medium heat about 5 minutes.
  • 2 add celery and garlic and cook 5 minutes more.
  • 3 add turkey, mixed vegetables, broth and peas; cover and cook 5 minutes.
  • 4 mix remaining ingredients together and add to skillet.
  • 5 turn heat up to medium high.
  • 6 cook, stirring constantly 2 to 3 minutes until sauce is boiling and thickened.
  • 7 serve over chow mein noodles with rice and additional soy sauce if desired.
