Turkey Divan

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 15 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tablespoons dry wine
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 20 ounces frozen broccoli, cooked and drained
  • 6 slices turkey breast, cooked
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe

  • 1 heat margarine in a 1-quart saucepan over medium heat until melted.
  • 2 stir in flour and nutmeg.
  • 3 cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly; remove from heat.
  • 4 stir in broth.
  • 5 heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  • 6 boil and stir 1 minute; remove from heat.
  • 7 stir in 1/2 cup cheese and the wine.
  • 8 beat whipping cream in chilled bowl until stiff.
  • 9 fold cheese mixture into whipped cream.
  • 10 place hot broccoli in ungreased rectangular baking dish, 12x 7-1/2x2 inches.
  • 11 top with turkey.
  • 12 pour cheese sauce over turkey.
  • 13 sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese.
  • 14 set oven control to broil.
  • 15 broil with top 3 to 5 inches from heat until cheese is bubbly and light brown.
