Turkey Meatballs

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup chopped dry sun-dried tomato
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
  • 1 -2 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup fresh breadcrumb
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • fresh ground pepper
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons wine
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • salt
  • fresh ground pepper

Recipe

  • 1 in a small pan over high heat, bring water to a boil.
  • 2 add in tomatoes; remove pan from heat and let stand 10 minutes; drain and dry.
  • 3 preheat oven to 375°.
  • 4 in a big bowl mix tomatoes, turkey, onion, garlic, egg, bread crumbs, milk, parsley, salt, poultry seasoning, and pepper.
  • 5 shape into 1 ½ inch meatballs; place on a lightly oiled or sprayed baking sheet with a rim.
  • 6 bake about 15 minutes, until browned, stirring once.
  • 7 meanwhile, in a saucepan whisk broth and wine with flour.
  • 8 place over med-high heat; bring to a boil.
  • 9 whisk until thickened; season with salt and pepper.
  • 10 add meatballs and juices; simmer until flavors are blended, about 5 minutes.
  • 11 serve over hot cooked rice or noodles.
